Team Texas Gives Back
This month, Eenhoorn’s Texas communities united for Community Outreach Week at the San Antonio Food Bank while also collecting donations to support local nonprofits and flood victims in Kerrville.
Team Texas Volunteers at San Antonio Food Bank
The Eenhoorn team in Texas united by volunteering at the San Antonio Food Bank to support local families in need. Team members from Broadstone Ranch, Twin Creeks at Alamo Ranch, River Oaks Villas, Savannah Club, Leah Avenue Townhomes, and The Inn at Westover Hills joined forces to sort, pack, and prepare food for distribution. The event was filled with energy, teamwork, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact.
During the volunteer event, the team worked side-by-side with Food Bank staff to assemble hundreds of boxes filled with nutritious items. From unloading deliveries to organizing inventory, every participant played a role in keeping the process moving smoothly. The experience not only provided critical support to the Food Bank’s mission but also strengthened bonds among the team, creating a sense of unity that will carry into future community outreach projects.
Over 16,000 Pounds Collected for Local Families and Kerrville Flood Victims
In addition to volunteer efforts, Texas communities partnered with San Marcos Gives Back and the San Antonio Food Bank to collect donations for those impacted by the recent flooding in Kerrville. These efforts contributed to the over 16,000 pounds of donations collected by San Marcos Gives Back to support families that were impacted.
Some of these items went directly to local nonprofits, while others provided much-needed relief to flood victims. Residents donated nonperishable food, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, diapers, and pet food, helping ensure families had essentials during difficult times. “It’s incredible to see how our residents step up when their neighbors are in need,” said Michael Plummer, Texas District Manager. “Their generosity shows the true spirit of our communities.”
