Eenhoorn’s sustainability initiative has expanded to include our support of The Arbor Day Foundation. A portion of every application fee from our Michigan properties will be donated to help plant new trees.

Eenhoorn’s community garden initiative was a success! Eenhoorn’s Community “Sharing Garden” brings food and so much more to residents. The Summer of 2020 was spent gathering growers of all ages and experience levels at Windridge Apartments and Westminster Meadows for a season of productive, organic gardening.

In addition to the obvious goals of meeting resident needs, another primary goal for Eenhoorn is to bolster our efforts to operate with sustainability in mind. By administering this food bank program on site, we are eliminating large amounts of food waste in the process of serving our residents.

Residents of two Grand Rapids apartment communities managed by Eenhoorn will be able to spend the 2020 summer season outdoors growing their own food as part of a pilot project to increase sustainability efforts.
