At Eenhoorn, we are continually exploring ways to incorporate sustainable practices to align with our Sustainability Initiative. Incorporating sustainability into our everyday operations is a primary focus. Below are a few updates from these past few months.
Eenhoorn’s Commitment to Energy Efficient Housing
We seek to achieve efficiency through a whole-building systems approach. HVAC upgrades and building envelope sealing are some of the ways we ensure that heating and cooling is working as efficiently as possible.
Eenhoorn Community Garden Update – Spring, 2021
With summer in the near future, our residents are gearing up for a season of fresh air, growing food, and getting to know their neighbors. The 2020 growing season pilot project at Windridge Apartments and Westminster Meadows Senior Living demonstrated that residents of all ages enjoy the many benefits of gardening such as nutrient dense food, learning new cooking skills, spending times outdoors, and physical exercise.
Eenhoorn Supports The Arbor Day Foundation
Eenhoorn’s sustainability initiative has expanded to include our support of The Arbor Day Foundation. A portion of every application fee from our Michigan properties will be donated to help plant new trees.
